Health authorities in several African countries are waging a battle against so-called “energy drinks” that contain unadvertised levels of tadalafil — the active ingredient in prescription drugs. Tadalafil is also sometimes prescribed to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, or “PHA,” or “PAH.”
The American College of Cardiology reported in 2011 that nearly 80 percent of American adults taking medicines to treat PAH had an increase in the amount of chest pain in the past year. That compares with 17.7 percent in 2011.
The increase in chest pain is “astonished” because it can be so serious that doctors would rather give up heartulence than prescribe tadalafil for PHA. But experts predict that, in the end, tadalafil will not cause heart attacks and deaths from PAH because it doesn’t affect the heart.
Tadalafil is not for everyone. About a third of people with PHA who drink too much, or who drink too much, experience side effects. About a third of people with PHA who drink too much drink blood, which can lead to a condition called.

1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. It is contraindicated to use Cialis with nitrates or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrites).
2.Alpha-blockers (e.g., prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin): Both Cialis and alpha-blockers relax blood vessels, which can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction when used together. This may result in dizziness, fainting, or orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing). If needed, your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend spacing the medications.
3.Other antihypertensive drugs (e.g., atenolol, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril): Cialis can enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effects of these medications. While this interaction is usually less severe than with nitrates or alpha-blockers, it can still cause dizziness or fainting in sensitive individuals. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended.

After a few months of testing, a new study in theJournal of Geriatric Cardiologyfound that men with diabetes who were treated with the drug Viagra for at least five years had reduced rates of death from cardiovascular disease and increased rates of death from cardiovascular disease.
The study, which included more than 4,000 men, found that men treated with the drug were at a lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease compared with those treated with placebo, and that the rate of death from cardiovascular disease was increased by 25% among the men treated with Viagra compared with men who received the placebo.
The new study, published in the, will now allow men to access their medical records and compare these results with those found in the previous studies.
The study, which is based on a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial of men with diabetes treated with Viagra, showed that men who were treated with Viagra had reduced rates of death from cardiovascular disease and increased rates of death from cardiovascular disease.
The study also demonstrated that patients with diabetes who had a history of cardiovascular disease had an increased risk of death from cardiovascular disease, compared with those who had no cardiovascular disease.
The study, in which Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra are the active ingredients in the new drug, was conducted by the German researchers who work at the German Institute for Drug Development, the German Diabetes Association and the German Diabetes Federation.
"Although we are still working on ways to improve the health and safety of some elderly men in Germany," the study's lead investigator, Thomas Gauteng, told the.
"These results are important for both the government and the general public," Gauteng said.
"The results of this study indicate that this important drug is effective for some men in Germany and that further research is needed on its safety and efficacy for the general population."
The German researchers said that while the study was positive, they believe that further clinical research will be needed to test the drug's effectiveness and safety.
According to the study's lead investigator, Dr. Heiko Gammeth, chairman of the cardiovascular medicine department at the German Institute of Medicine, it was also found that Viagra was not effective in lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease in men with diabetes.
"There were no significant differences in the incidence or risk factors for cardiovascular events between Viagra and the placebo groups," he toldMedical News Agency
Gammeth said that although Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra are effective for some men, it is important to understand that some men may not need to take these drugs in the first place.
"We want to make sure men are treated with the right treatment," Gammeth said. "In Germany, it's really important to understand the benefits and risks of the drug and to work with the doctors and patients to get them the right medicine.
"In general, men with diabetes should be on the right dose of the drug," he added.
